Lots of motorcycle companies are just out for themselves, but the Yamaha Motor Corporation, which creates Yamaha motorcycles, has been working with Feed the Children for over ten years. Every year the Yamaha employees in the United States raise money to help feed children. This year the company raised $5,000 and were able to fill a food truck with 400 different boxes full of nutritious things for children to eat, such as juice and canned goods. Also included were personal items such as toothbrushes, soap, and shampoo.
Yamaha motorcycles are great to ride, but who knew that the company had been working with Feed the Children for so long? I know that I feel proud being a Yamaha motorcycle owner knowing that the company actually tries to give back. Apparently the employees raised the money by doing office fundraisers, so it wasn’t as though they had the full resources of the huge corporation behind them, or to do it for a tax write off – they did it on their own. The next time you think about buying a motorcycle, you may want to check out Yamaha motorcycles, and know, when you buy one, that you’re supporting people who support the needy.

All motorcycles are powerful, but did you know that the engine for a Yamaha motorcycle was once used to help propel a hang glider? A 350cc engine, which is used in a number of older Yamaha motorcycles, was used to propel a Para Wing that was made of Dacron fabric. The glider was able to go over 5,000 feet high gave the two being propelled by it a beautiful view of the city below. Can you imagine trusting just any engine to support and propel you 5,000 feet in the air?
Yamaha motorcycles are certainly powerful and can make great first, second, or eighth bikes! If you think they’re powerful in the air, you should see them on the ground! It’s a beautiful thing to see a Yamaha bike taking sharp corners with agility and grace. If you’re looking to own a Yamaha motorcycle, you may want to look towards a used motorcycle. These are often much less expensive and run exactly like a brand new one does! Some of the older used Yamaha motorcycles even have a bit more power than the ones that are made in factories now, for the simple fact that the designers then focused more on power than they did on beauty.

When you see the words “used motorcycles for sale”, does your heart start to race and your head start to calculate exactly how much you can afford to spend? A true biker is always on the look out for a good deal, and used motorcycles are usually the way to get that deal. You can find used motorcycles in a number of places; from a motorcycle trader to the local newspaper, and sometimes you’ll find amazing deals.
Take, for instance, Yamaha motorcycles. A few months ago I saw a beautiful 2005 Yamaha G5 for sale online for an insanely low price! Immediately I started calculating whether or not I could afford it and, thankfully, discovered that it was within my range. Unfortunately winter has taken over and I won’t be able to ride for a few more months. Even though I can’t ride it for awhile, just knowing that I have one of those beautiful Yamaha motorcycles sitting in my garage, ready to go, somehow makes getting through the winter just a bit easier. And if I happen to sneak out every once in awhile, start it up, sit on it and enjoy a quick daydream, all the better for me, because if you can’t do it, at least you can dream about it.

Some motorcycles sound like what they are. For instance, you can hear a Harley from a mile away and recognize that it’s a Harley. Others don’t sound at all like what they are, like the Honda Goldwing series motorcycles. These little babies are quiet and don’t give any indication about how large the motor truly is. Yamaha motorcycles fall into the category of “sounding like they should.” When a Yamaha goes by you, it sounds a bit like “yyyaaaaaa-mmmaaaa-haaaaa”. Well, unless someone’s driving really fast, then it just sounds like a blur.
I’ve got to say that one of the bikes I’ve always wanted to own are any number of different Yamaha motorcycles. Not many motorcycle companies make a variety of different type of bikes, but the Yamaha company does. They make touring bikes, and high performance sports bikes, and the best part is that they all run beautifully. I think I know what I’m asking for this Christmas – I’m going to ask for a Yamaha! Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll get one, especially as I already have a number of bikes littering my garage up! What type of bike will you be asking for this Christmas?
