There should be no rust formation or damages here. You should also look for any possible cracks on the frames of the used ATV.
Do not be too happy if the ATV has been painted new. May be it is to cover up some damaged part. Pay extra attention to ensure that there is no such damage. Another area that you should check while buying your used ATV is the gas tank. There should be no rust formation in the gas tank. Rust in the gas tank can be an indicator for major engine repairs.
