What to Pack for Your Bike in Your Used Harley
February 23rd, 2009Going on a bike trip on a used Harley can be either enjoyable, or a nightmare, and the only way it turns into a nightmare, generally, is if something happens and you’re not prepared for it. Being prepared for something unexpected is the best way to have a great road trip, so the next time you’re going on the road, remember to bring along a few things for your used Harley, including:
-
A spare CO2 cartridge – if you’ve got problems with your tires, a spare cartridge may be the only way you can get from the side of the road to a mechanics garage.
-
Portable wrenches – Allen wrenches and Torx wrenches are always handy on the road.
-
Fuses, light bulbs, and spark plugs – if you’ve got room, carry a few of these. You never know when they’ll come in handy.
-
Zip ties and electrical tape – the quick fix can be found with zip ties and electrical tape, every time.
And it’s always a good idea to practice as much as you can on your used Harley so that you know what you’re doing, should something break down when you’re on the road.
