Taking your Honda Motorcycles to Bike Week
February 2nd, 2009
January 24, 1937, that’s the date when motorcycles first invaded Daytona Beach in Florida and when a long standing tradition began. Every year thousands of bikers travel to Daytona Beach to partake in some sun, some sand, and a whole lot of everything that has to do with bikes. Bike week this year kicks off on February 27th and lasts until March 8th (but a lot of the bikers arrive earlier and hang around later as well). If you’re planning on bringing your bike down to Daytona Beach, make sure you’ve got everything planned out right.
-
Do you have the right equipment to tow your bike on? If you’re not riding it down, make sure that you’ve got the right sized trailer, and the right tie downs so that you don’t wind up finding your bike on the middle of the highway.
-
Do you have a saddlebag? If you’re in Daytona Beach, you’ll likely find yourself riding around all day. Make sure you’ve got some way to carry around necessities on your Honda motorcycles.
Also, before you leave on your trip, make sure that all of your equipment is checked over by your mechanic, so that you don’t find yourself in Daytona Beach having to pay high prices for a mechanic if your bike breaks down.
