Using Motorcycle Insurance
April 6th, 2008A bad spill can happen to anyone at any time. You hit a patch of gravel, lose your balance and suddenly you and your bike both hit the pavement. What do you do when the bike is deemed “unfixable” by your mechanic? To begin with, you thank your lucky stars that you have motorcycle insurance. Just like car insurance, motorcycle insurance will allow you to be able to fix a bike that is fixable, or to buy a new one when your old one can go no further.
If you live in a state where you have snow half of the year or more, your motorcycle insurance may not be active until spring hits. It can be extremely tempting to take the bike out as soon as the snow starts to melt, but try to resist the urge, as not only can there be ice spots that you can’t see, but without motorcycle insurance you are driving illegally and have no coverage should something happen with your bike. Good motorcycle insurance may not afford you the ability to buy a BMW motorcycle, but it will give you a chance to ride even if your bike is trashed.
